Most people are using only one-third of their respiratory system when they breathe and oxygen-rich blood is essential for good health, yet we live our lives holding our breath. These held breathing patterns develop over time, like a habit. When we hold our breath we create the physical/musculature structure of this restricted breathing pattern and we also hold in the emotional energy of those events in our physical and energetic body, slowly making it harder and harder to breathe fully.
There are many benefits you can realize during a Breath session. During a session, I will guide you to maintain a wave-like “full circular breath” pattern. This pattern focuses on a full inhale and a relaxed exhale, as to increase oxygen levels, but not deplete CO2. The oxygen-rich environment allows for old emotional patterns to surface, where we can create the space for them to surface and then allowing integration using the other modalities I use in session work. When old held emotions are cleared from the body, there is a greater sense of ease and an increased breathing capacity. You can become more aware of times and circumstances that cause you to close your breath in your daily life. This greater awareness can be used to become more embodied and help with your own emotional intimacy and growth.
